I am a psychotherapist in training studying towards a Masters in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC). I have many years of experience working with people who have difficulties in their lives and relationships.
Before training to become a psychotherapist, I worked in the legal field bringing cases where civil and human rights had been breached. As a result of my own experiences of life, death and loss, I sought psychotherapy for myself. The benefits I felt from therapy, plus a keen interest of looking within, led me to train as a psychotherapist. I believe my experience of sitting in the clients' chair helps me to be a more compassionate therapist.
I spent two years working at the Swan Project in Bristol, which is a charitable organisation that offers psychotherapy and counselling to people who would like to change their relationship with alcohol and other substances. With the desire, I believe every individual has the ability to change if they are provided with the right therapeutic environment.
- Carl Rogers
My passion is with helping people gain a deeper understanding of their inner world. I offer a space for you to take time out to talk and be listened to in a warm, accepting and compassionate environment. I work in an integrative way, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic theories and models, including psychoanalytic, humanistic and existential perspectives. There is not a 'one size fits all' with therapy. Every person is unique and may need a different approach at different times.
As a therapist in my sixth year of training, I am able to offer affordable psychotherapy and counselling in Bath and Bristol. I charge £35 for a fifty minute session and we would meet on a weekly basis.
